Hi All,
I am sure this has been sorted already, but I want to be specific about my issue.
I have a PPQ Prestige slimline plate that weighs a lot (metal framed with acrylic front). I am looking for a front mounting solution that is strong and with minimal front bumper damage. I have seriously considered the Sto N Sho and Craigs brackets but they are not suitable due to the weight of this thing.
So my opinion is this plate needs to be directly solid mounted - to the bumper. The bumper has a curve/bend in it. This plate can not be bent.

PPQ want $475 to possibly (no promises) to redesign this never used plate into a flexiplate! This is going no where.

Who has achieved a satisfactory outcome? How? And photos please.

Thanks in advance.

Start with Lakin. https://lakinplates.com.au/

There's a whole section about Prestige plates (and how they don't suit most cars :) ) including how to can better fit them.

They may not have a bracket for the Mustang yet, but I'd say they (he) should be able to make one.

Not a fan of this Sto and sho? it hides the air dam/scoop below which is part of the appeal and aggression.

No number plate would be better but no choice i guess..
Personally, that middle bar is begging for a number plate with that crease/kink in the middle - it gets hidden nicely by a plate - the bonnet and lip/spoiler/splitter/air dam don't such an obvious kink.

About the Craig's bracket: "The mounting base is attached to the bumper cover, out of sight, using 3M 4910 VHB (Very High Bond) adhesive tape, some of 3M’s strongest bonding tape on the market. This VHB tape will bond despite extreme ground-to-air temperature swings of 194°F to -30°F (90°C to -35°C) and support up to 90 lbs/in2. This bracket has 3 square inches of tape that adheres."

That's going to hold a grown man standing on your number plate!
If the plate will mount to it - it should be an option.

But I'm still going to go with: look at the Lakin solution.

That's where I landed when I considered all options.

My Lakin brackets arrived and I've dropped them into the Dealer. They are beautifully machined. Very pleased!

Yeah, Phil does an amazing job. My dealer couldn't get past how well the Lakin's fitted and looked - extremely well made.

Thanks guys for your comments so far. Love to see some of the photos of these Lakin plates mounted. Remember - My problem is mounting a metal framed Prestige Slimline plate on the front.

I agree Scott. I think a plate suitably creased resolves that issue nicely. Best to go slimline at front and regular at the back.

This is a Lakin bracket with a QLD prestige plate.

It fits perfectly with no gaps, it attaches with 2 screws and another four
attachment points using 3m tape.

Philip has a Ford front plate bracket he uses as a template to fit the point of
the bumper.

A great guy to deal with and true gentleman.

Looks like I pick up my GT tomorrow. I need to mount these prestige plates. Can someone please post a photo of the plate holders and the screws included with it - can I use them for my prestige plates? I understand that I need good plastic cutting thread screws.

The Craigs bracket is not compatible with the Qld prestige plate which weighs about 300 grams.(quite heavy).
So I am looking for a well mounted (holes in bumper unfortunately) solution.
