Dispointed it took so long. The GT guys are getting soft!

Was waiting on someone to say this... lol

Well, personally I wouldn’t want to purchase a tuned turbo with that many miles. The power train warranty only has 10,000 miles left for that car, which equates to less than a year of driving on average. After that you’re on your own for any repairs on the head or fuel rail, not to mention worrying that the block around piston 2 is going to fracture. Also, if gas prices continue to rise, the published BHP rating for the V6 remains the same with 87 octane, while you’d be stuck putting in premium to get the published BHP rating from the boosted 4 banger. Why buy a V6? Reliability? Otherwise gas mileage and performance are not as good once you start modding
A certified pre-owned ecoboost would cost over $4000 more, significantly more than the cost of replacing the evaporator. Ford checked out the car, which I’m sure they could have missed something, but didn’t find anything wrong with it. A stage 1 COBB tune is not very aggressive either.
Fear? I'm hoping I have 1 of the last V8s. The ultimate evolution of the Mustang V8. EV can't come too soon!Sorry but every time I hear that I just have to add it. Puts the fear in the back of the mind. ——EV——-![]()

I love it when people assume others don't know anything. You'd have to live in a V8 bubble to not know about performance Teslas. Or performance hybrids like Porsche 918 and Formula 1 cars. Or e racing.Sort of like I bought the ultimate evolution of the V6 Mustang? —- YAWN —-
Unlike the Musclecar reign of the sixties and seventies we are not going to lower performance. It goes to a whole new level. You guys simply don’t know what you are in store for! That is the diff.
Sure some old-timers will covet the last of the V8s and it may even be me.
Honestly, I’m excited about the future of performance cars!

The V8 Mustang is iconic. Nothing against other configurations but they dont hold the same esteem.
Kind of like my 200+ HP Superbikes often get far less attention than a broken down Harley. But I still blow those performances EVs and for that matter almost any road car into the weeds in terms of lap times.
PS...My neck has no problem with the acceleration.

This is the best advice right here. I know your budget is tight, and trust me I get that. But, there has got to be other Ecoboost Mustangs out there. I advise a little patience, and keep looking. Good luck on your decision.Well, personally I wouldn’t want to purchase a tuned turbo with that many miles. Only pic I have so far. The car was less than $16 large out the door and Ford gave it the green light in the inspection.
The reason I didn’t consider a V6 was because Ford has retired them in the current model year and there is very little aftermarket support. The ecoboost gets better gas mileage and has better weight distribution. It’s already faster with this stage 1 tune. I plan to modify it to stage 3 over the next year, which will cost under $1000 if I keep my eye on the parts classifieds...
I think I’ll be happy as long as it doesn’t go eco-BOOM.
