Pulled the trigger on GT350 Replica Rear Spoiler

Well....not the entire incredible car but at least the replica R Wing.... Put in an order at HCM for about 395.00 shipped with ebay discount . I love the look of this wing. I have installed the CDC outlaw wing last year but I think the GT350 is a standout. Now the tough decision: what color to paint?

I have seen pics of the real GT350 R but none in person. I need some opinions as I am on the fence.

1. The original appears to be flat or stain black... I want some shine
2. My 2015 is deep impact blue How would it look painted to match?
3. Matte black or primer black are other options?

I may want to do black lemans stripes as well with red silver or gray trim/red on the outside trim ...but after my body shop finishes it. He could paint stripes...

Any comments or suggestions are appreciated. Also if someone could post pics of a DIB with the GT350 wing painted the same color I would love that.

Here is what I am working with now and oh yeah I will list here or on ebay the DIB CDC Outlaw spoiler for sale in about 2 weeks :cheers:

Spoiler just arrived today by FedEx from HCM Carbon ...very well packed tons of bubble wrap shipping from San Diego to Virgina. The box held up well. Template included as well, my body guy will love that...:hail:


A few pics below. waiting on some side fender scoops before I go to paint and body should have everything done by the end of the month. Iam considering buying a new decklid so I wont have to cover holes the CDC spoiler left but we shall see.

I am almost as excited when I got 1st Saleen style wing for my 91 LX Fox body. I was 20 then now I am 44 ..well I guess patience is a virtue.

I will keep this post updated . I plan on satin black for this GT350R replica...satin for matching window scoops and side scoops.

Saying goodbye to CDC Outlaw spoiler. cant wait to get this thing installed. Definately going with the stripes as well once everything is done. If anyone else completed same mod with same product please post her. I saw some post from a red GT350 owner. Would love to some deep impact blue or any color as well

thanks good to know as my body guy will be making the final fit. He did my Roush hood and CDC Outlaw wing. We joked about this GT350 replica wing last year when he completed my work..well guess there's a truth in every joke!:amen:

oh wait you got the R spoiler, not the track pack spoiler.. i change my vote to the GT350 spoiler. I'd get one, but i'm 99% sure my convertible antenna would be in the way.

Interesting I am sure you could relocate the ant. but that would require a mod and a hole fill. I an considering buying a new trunk or swap for a clean decklid ...no holes. Ironic that my PP GT came without the spoiler but I had it drilled with my 1st spoiler. A convertible shelby GT 350R tribute car...very intriguing and different!

Seems like the aftermarket R wings all sit too far back compared to the OE.

I just installed mine this afternoon, I'm very pleased with fitment no problem whatsoever, I have not painted it yet, will post some pics up tomorrow if I get a chance.

Not too shabby, glad its on a DIB so I can see exactly what it looks like on mine. I'd like to see more angles from the front looking back
