So after 3000 miles, a track day and 6 autocross the front tread depth on my super sports is about 4/32" from the wear bar. Does anyone know what the tire starts at? I checked Michelins site and didn't see any info.

I'm concerned if I go to one more autocross than they will get near the 3/32" limit that tech requires for a track day. I'm planning on a trip to NJ motorsports park in October to close out the season.

Just can't get enuff!
Does that group organizing the NJMP hpde do an actual detailed Tech inspection or is it an honor system Tech where you submit your self-completed tech sheet? If the latter, you get my gist.... ;)

Iirc, brand new MPSS tread depth specs are at 10/32 or maybe 11/32.... I can't exactly remember but I think it's one of the two. My C7 Z06 tires new were at those measurements.

Find your exact spec tire on Tire Rack, they have all the information there.

Most tech inspections are done prior to the track day, when you go to the track they just look over your tech sheet and your good. If you are confident you can get through the day with 3/32 than you should be fine

Apparently I suck at finding stuff. Was on their site earlier and didn't see it. Checked again more carefully and found the info, thanks. Fronts are 7.5/32 and rear is 8/32.

Compared with other PSS it is less as most are 10/32 as Bossing said. Looks like they tried to remove a little weight and increase responsiveness.

Thanks all. The NJMP event is being run by NASA. At Pocono they teched at the event.

It is an optional (2) day event. Do you think the tires will make it and if I teched the 1st day do you think they tech again on the 2nd?

I measured my MPSS at new and am keeping track of the wear.
At new the PSS have .245" total depth on the center groove, about .190" to the wear bar. Same on all 4 tires.
After 6300 miles on my car I have worn an average of .035 off the tires, that includes 3 autocross days.
