I installed the system. It was not trimmed. I re-tightened and re positioned the coupler again after the first time.
Sure ... do you see my point though? Starting a "PSA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" thread over a coupler coming off on a boosted car is a little bit silly ... especially because there arent 50 other people chiming in with the same problem. This kit has been out long enough, and run on enough cars, that given peoples inclination to bitch about things on the internet - this thread would have popped up 50 times before, in build threads, etc ... you either got a random bad clamp, a random bad coupler (If you produce enough of ANYTHING you'll get a flawed piece.) or there was an installation error. I dont think this is a widespread issue...

No, I dont see your point, because my thread is simply there to give a heads up to people with the PC system that its a possibility this could happen and you should be prepared for it. Another person in here said they had the issue as well. Im not here to ride PCs dick or to defend them in any blinking moment, but if I didnt have a grille delete I would have either had to remove my front bumper on the highway or get it towed. The car was undriveable.

Once again, like how Procharger revised the inlet piping due the original inlet collapsing was brought up in the thread as a PSA that this was going on.

So yeah, the "it never happened" to me mentality is a stupid one. Yeah, it never happened to you until it does happen.

The amount of threads on a forum doesnt correlate to all the issues for a specific system. lol But okay man. If at least one person reads this thread and rechecks their clamps or adjusts their couplers for a better fit, then thats all that this thread is here to do.

On what centri, turbo, etc. kit is this not a possibility? This is sort of an age old FI issue in terms of a "possibility".

Exactly. "Adjusts their couplers for a better fit." i.e. they were not fit correctly in the first place.

PSA : If you dont fit intercooler couplers correctly, under boost they can come off. Mind blown.

----

If you're going to start a thread outlining an issue with a manufacturers product, actually display a problem.

In this instance (Purely as an examples):
The coupler coming off the intercooler is too short and not getting enough purchase.
or
The coupler coming off the intercooler is at too extreme an angle, causing it to come off under boost.

Then, show a picture of the issue. (Not your car on the side of the road) Then ask what other peoples setups look like so that it can be determined if:

A) You installed it incorrectly
B) You got a random misshaped inlet pipe (too short?) - and procharger should send you a new one
C) This is a widespread issue effecting everyones car - and procharger should issue a revision

My intercooler couplers were on properly and were clamped down. And still having the issue of it coming off. But cool. :)

just because your car doesn't do it, does not mean it is not an issue.

If the customer has to check to see if your tubes are trimmed properly, it's your problem, not theirs.
We do not trim rubber or silicon couplers.
That is up to the customer to trim them as they see fit, per instructions.

Some people want very short couplers, with minimal overlap.
Others want to leave them very long, with large overlaps.

Leaving them in raw form has worked best.
Then you people that are OCD like myself can trim them how I want.
And make sure all hose clamps face the same direction, (with nut hidden, yet still accessible)

Ummmm what? Would that be an install oriented problem? I mean doesn't it say int he instruction to trim them for fit?
Yes, noted as "Tech Tips" in the install.

I'm reading the usage of the word "tube" to be piping.
Not the metal piping, we are talking about rubber couplers.
