Just FYI -

Over the last weekend I was just checking over the car and was looking under the exterior rockers. For those that don’t know terminology, the rockers would be the black textured ABS plastic located directly beneath your doors, attached to the rocker panels (length of sheet metal that spans front tire to back tire under door).

Well, 50% of the fasteners on EACH rocker were loose or not pushed in all the way.

To see or feel them, you have to reach under the rocker and look for (or feel) the deep depressions, there are several. In each depression you should feel a rounded plastic “rivet” fastener. Start from the front or back and just push firmly upward on each fastener to ensure it’s pressed all the way into the body, leaving no gap or movement between it and the rocker.

I would advise folks to check their rocker fasteners to ensure they are 100% secure. Loose or missing fasteners will allow the rockers to sag a little, allowed debris to get trapped in between rocker and sheet metal and in some instances loose fasteners can cause annoying squeak or rattles while driving due to rocker movement.
