especially any of you guys out west! stay safe out there..
so i forget who, but someone mentioned charcoal infused cabin filters. i didnt know there was such a thing, so thanks for that!
so i picked up a couple, 1 for mine and 1 for the wife's vehicle.. and decided to change out the wifes this morning, after 10k miles, it wasnt to bad. it was an oem filter, white in color. it was slightly discolored gray, had a couple leaves in it and some oak pollen.. about what i had figured.
however, my mustang with almost 5k miles on it, has not even had its first oil change yet (although will be soon). it had a few leaves, couple things of oak pollen, but it was absolutely FILTHY, DIRTY.. i was putting in charcoal infused filters, so if you have ever seen them, they are pretty dark gray, almost black on one side, but not quite as dark on the other. this filter from the mustang, after almost 5k miles was almost as black as the light colored side of the charcoal filter.
so, dont forget to check that cabin filter, pollen season is about over for most of us in the USA now, its a good time to swap it out, and get some cleaner air pumping into your cabin.
EDIT: cj pony parts walks you through the install.
