This is a very good looking pony.
Thanks, P51Guy. I've had her a year now and still loving her. She's now lowered on Steeda's progressive springs and has new shoes - Velgen VBM7s.

I mask with blue painters tape, goes on quick & I can use whatever wax/polish I want without worrying about the black bits.

Any of you ever thought of getting them painted? Not necessarily the same colour, could be black as well.

Any type of coating should do the job real nice. I put CQuartz over my black plastic fenders and top of my Jeep and a year later it's still going strong. Going to do the same with my new car soon.

So glad I searched and found this thread. I waxed my tri-yellow about a 10 months ago and got wax on the black trim. Been driving me nuts trying to remove the white haze.
Will try the tips I found here tomorrow and report back, can't wait to set this aright! :headbang:

I don't remember where I saw it, but a regular pink pencil eraser does a fantastic job of removing any white wax stains.

For removing wax from other crevices, I use a soft brush and liquid wax.

Paint doesn't adhere to that kind of plastic very well. It might look good for awhile but the oil in the plastic will cause the paint to bubble and chip over time. This was told to me by a very experienced custom paint shop so I'm not going to question it lol

I bought Aerospace 303 protectant. It's working really well so far. Got it on Amazon.

Good looking Mustang, Mike. Shining like a new dime and I like the hood stripes.

Back to Black is all I use on the trim. It lasts longer than anthing I've used before.
