Hello folks,

I had a question about protecting matte finished wheels. I actually like the look of my wheels just after I wash them as they have a shine to them. What product could I use to keep that look?

Any suggestions are appreciated!

With matte paint, you can only achieve a certain level of gloss because of the lack of light reflection, even with the use of products known to be extremely glossy. I guess you could polish them, but there is NO going back with that option.

Perhaps try some high gloss products like P&S Dream Maker or Bead Maker. But again, you will be adding richness to the finish rather than gloss.

P&S Professional Detail Products - Dream Maker | The Rag Company
P&S Detail Products - Bead Maker Paint Protectant | The Rag Company

And I know where you are coming from. My current wheels are matte black, but I prefer the graphite/pewter version.

Thanks for the info and it just so happens that I have P&S Beadmaker at home!

Try Gyeon Rim. Doesn’t really add gloss but gives the wheels a sheen.

I tried the P&S Beadmaker but it didn't really have any effect on the wheels. I'll try Gyeon if I can find a local seller.

Thanks everyone!
