my new wheels came with new TPMS sensors installed and the ford tool. I dont know if the shop that put them on yesterday had the tool too and programmed them, but due to rain I have not programmed the new sensors yet and so far I have had no chimes or dash lights over 60 miles or so since they were mounted yesterday. That being said, my sensors were reading 44-46 PSI hot all the way around so I just let some air out to the 37 range hot until i can get home. If when I let the air out it registered on the display cluster, is that an accurate reading or is there a chance I am in the 20s or something now and the senors are off because I have not programmed them? Also everything seems to be opposites. The driver front currently registers as the passenger rear, etc. Are you supposed to program them in a specific order? Plan on doing it when I get home

I find them pretty accurate. I got sensors, did not program them and they read close to gauge - I don't think programming is any kind of calibration - it's just marrying them with the car (mine did not need it).

Having said that - tire gauge is really useful little tool ;-)
