I'm curious to what you guys would choose, I've finally decided to break down and get a centrifugal.

It'd be vortech JT vs Procharger F1A.
Shooting for ~700whp now, but once I get my built engine I'd like to turn it up.

Both kits are really nice, you really need to decide power goals at the end.

Both kits will be 4 digit capable as well, it's all what you want to spend and if you have a personal preference

Chosing between those two, me personally, I would choose Vortech. I've used them on foxbody mustangs I've had great experiences with them. That's just my personal opinion, I'm sure Prochargers kits work really well too, but I've never had experience with them. I'm going a similar route with my car, but I'm planning on going with a Paxton setup.

Sounds silly.. but aesthetically speaking, I like the way the engine bay looks better with Procharger than Vortech. The Vortech unit has so much piping everywhere, doesn't look clean to me.

Maybe i'm wrong but the procharger is prob a little easier to install yourself than vortech if that factors into your choice

the procharger is easier on the install, the vortech will be less $$, you got pros can cons everywhere, at the end of the day, we do a lot of both systems,

feel free to give me a shout again today, and we'll walk through the options on both setups

Either one will make you happy, the sound of the Procharger F1A is pretty damn awesome though:)

This just shows that it boils down to personal preferrence. I had considered the Procharger but thought it looked like an after thought and pieced together. I went with the Paxton kit that Beefcake sells because I think they put more research and design into the kit which yields a more finished look. That said, I agree that the Procharger looks to be a MUCH easier kit to install. There are many small details that go along with installing a Paxton/Vortech kit, hense more effort in design.

I have just finished data logging my inital startup and now waiting on Lund to do their magic. I have shed a little blood, said a few cuss words, and scratched my head a few times while thinking but I am very pleased with the finished look under the hood.

I suppose my best analogy would be the difference in raising the hood and seeing a show car or seeing a race car. Both will go fast, one just looks cleaner.

That would be the blacked out F-1A kit. :) hahahaha.

However, the ladies do love the sound of a ProCharger. :headbang::cheers::lol:
(Heck even big time turbo gal Jessica Barton, has a ProCharger on her C7 Corvette now)

Actually that wasn't my intention,,...hahah

But when a guy opens a hood of any car with a "F" blower thats all blacked out, you always hear someone say... "Ohhhhh dang" in the back ground it seems. LOL.
