PROCAL QUESTION??

So I have a 2015 Premium with 20inch rims, I got the 3.31 rear axle because I was going to supercharge it. But now with stickier tires i can do 3.95 consistent 4-4.1 0-60 and 12.5 1/4 mile. But that isnt good enough, I want to move up to 3.73 rear axle and even bigger tires, WIDER. But keep this my DD. Screw forced induction IMO now lol.

So my question is can I buy a 2014 Procal assuming its still a hand held programming device and just change my axle on that and tire diameter so the speedometer is correct? I dont want to leave any trace by using any tune to void my warranty.

2nd question as a bonus, has your mustang been pretty durable as in should i be less afraid to just go ahead and bama or livernoise tune it or something?

Also im no stranger to mods, ive got alot but none that would easily void my warranty. 468/447 HP/TQ

The way the 15's work and 14's are VERY different. Speedo is not done in ecu any more. Done in BCM (according to Lund). I haven't looked into how to change it. I'm sure someone is working on it.

OH.... :( ok. Do I wait till the release of the procal or just go Bama. I just dont know if i have the balls to just throw away that powertrain warrnaty, I dont get why dealers, at least in houston, or so anal about any mod. Had to argue that if my clutch went out with my x-pipe that it would still be covered right? the mechanic was so pissy and talked like a damn lawyer.

So when you load a tune on the GT's with race modes do you choose which mode to load it onto or is it on all 4? because I kind of need my ice snow setting to be for ice not a track lol.

Vmp and Lund tunes (playing with both) for 4k miles. No problems.

Tunes do not affect drive modes. Sport still allows you to have the early downshifts and rev matching and snow mode still lessens throttle gain. Tuners (as far as I know) can't change the way those work. The increased power isn't changed (drive modes do not retune the car to make more power, pretty much only change throttle gain and very minor shift feel in autos, and lessen the TC nanny). The drive modes effects are applied to the new tune (I think is best way to say it).

That explains it nicely. I really want to tune my car but would like to have my clutch and transmission under warranty. I pretty sure from everything ive read our engines will take whatever you throw at them but general wear and tear on the clutch and trans will just brake while youre driving 60k miles.
