So I have a pop up on the dash saying tire mobility kit needs serviced. Dont know what that's about? But I'm more concerned with service engine light that just came on. Car seems to drive fine, but the remote start didn't work today and the car just beeps when you try it so I wonder if it's related to that? I never took it in for the 48k service either if that means anything, but I had planned on trading it in anytime. What do you guys think? I guess I have to take it in to run a diagnostic at least. They have apps you can download on the smartphone, but not sure how they work?

Your tire slime kit in the trunk maybe out of date.

Could be. I've never even looked at it. I wonder how the car knows if so? As far as the check engine light, me and my dad looked at it. We didnt hear anything unusual from the engine, oil is full and recently changed so we think it has something to do with the remote start not working. It just started not working today and I just noticed the engine light today. None the less I guess my only option is to take it to the dealer. One good thing is there is a dealership right down the block from the house I just moved to.

No need to go to the dealership, you can reset the timer yourself. It's buried in the settings somewhere. Just change it to whatever and the message goes away for 2-3 years.
Thanks for the advice, but what timer are you talking about?

I figured that part out about the tire kit, but don't know how to check the codes for the remote start.

Some of those aren't too much. But it will just tell you what's wrong and I think you can clear it if its minor, but if its something that actually needs fixed, I would still have to take it to the dealer.

Guess what guys? I was driving along and had just picked up the phone to call the dealership to see when I could get in for an appointment and I looked down and the check engine light was off! I pulled over and tried the remote start and sure enough, it works now. I'm not sure if I did anything as I was messing with the settings and tried changing some of them and reset one to the default.
