What are the chances that Ford would Warranty the seat cover for this. Car has less then 5000 miles on it. The only person who's ever been in the back of the car was the tint guy when I first got the car and that was done at the dealer. I have always put the belt through the loop too.

Hate to agree but i would say 0% chance also man. I would contact the tint guy if you know for a fact he did it.

tint guy must have had a sharp tool on his belt.

In any case, just hit it with a Sharpie. You will forget its there

it's probably a cheap repair at a shop that does leather repair. Dealership may or may not be a good place for that.

Well i don't know if it was the tint guy. He's the only person that i know went in the back seat. That was when i first got it in june and just noticed it recently.

whoever climbed into the back seat is a likely suspect. More-so if they were a technician with a penchant for belt-attached steel tools. But you aren't going to prove anything, so you will almost certain have to pony up for a fix. You can always ask the dealership, and they may fix it out of pure goodwill.

If it potentially happened in June and you just saw it, I'd probably give it a shot at the dealership or otherwise just live with it.

Yeah I honestly don't think Ford would cover either. I just want to ask here first and see what most people think. I have a few friends that work for Ford. One of them that works in the departs department, said they would take a look at a price on a new cover.

Not true, I have that same warranty and my seat tore with 100 miles on it and they told me it was normal wear and tear and wouldn't cover it

+1 on that. my seat showed excessive (in my opinion) wear on the stitches on the edge of the seat bottom. i have 300 miles on it and they said it was a wear item and it was normal wear.

This looks like the seatbelt was rubbing on the strap and not some guy's tool. I've seen another thread on mustangforums.com, don't have a link handy. I would make sure you keep the twist in the belt before the strap.
