Of course we have the same issue. Ford released a TSB (sort of a fix) but at that time our cars are already built.
Now it's not so hot to test, but was the first thing I tried back in september when getting the car. And no, back seat don't cool!
I'll ask to the dealer for the fix when I have to get the mustang checked at about 5k km (now I have about 3,200).

Edit: oh I forgot, the TSB don't solve the issue, only works slightly better (i.e. back seat don't go on fire)

Yeah from what I read in the US section the system is quite a failure. Glad I'm not paying for it.

I tried the cooling for a bit, it cools the seat and lower back. Seems OK to me.

Are you 100% sure?. If it is a factory default, ALL cars should have an issue.

The cool you feel at lower back is produced by the bottom part. The back seat should cool on the upper part of your back.

Cooled seats was mandatory for me since I HATE leather seats (hot in summer and cold in winter). If there wasn't this cooled seats feature, I am not sure if I would even get this car. Apart the aesthetics, the power blablabla, if you can't feel comfortable in your seat (and when you get your car parked under the sun in summer, it's NOT comfortabnle at all), then something is wrong.
Getting the car in september has reduced this issue but the next year will be a war with the dealer and ford

Lsstefan, you saved some money but you'll be frying your butt in summer

Papinist, do you please know any details about the TSB? My Ford dealer was looking for it, I was even looking to their PC, but there was no TSB for the seats ar any known error.... My seats have the same problem, they told me it would really healp if they knew what to look for. Did your dealer mention the TSB number?

Nop not yet, I haven't heard of anyone going to Ford for the TSB in the EU.

I myself have not gone but as for Lord Thunder I have the impression it works (bottom and lower back - not sure if it is supposed to go up to the shoulders)

yes it should cool the entire back, lower + shoulders. The cool you feel at the lower back is coming from the seat.
