Long time lurker (love the forum), first time poster...

Finally ready to order our Mustang and wondering whether there is any point 'shopping around' for a good price?

Is the only difference likely to be dealer delivery?

Can anyone in Brisbane / Gold Coast / Sunshine Coast recommend a dealer for a sharp price? Have not done much phoning around, but the lowest dealer delivery appears to be $1995 at this stage which seems a bit steep.

It's not like they are going to have to 'sell' me the car...

Cheers,
Suz

I have not heard of any major markups for what is our base (standard) Mustang GT in australia, i think you will find most dealers will be offering similar prices.

But there is movement in the dealer delivery prices, you can probably save a grand or so depending on the dealer.... Try to get them to throw in the nickel wheels on top of that. Then later swap to the black if you actually wanted black wheels for another 500 off the price.

Maybe a little bit of stuffing around but the cash can all go to fuel /mods... $500 for a single question isnt a bad saving!

Also ask about the new colours... At this stage it could mean that waiting another couple weeks could open up some extra 2017 colour choices.

Good idea - thanks.

We were planning to order nickel wheels anyway, but might see whether they will chuck them in.

Will also check re: colours.

I would check and see how full their order books are, as well as price. I ordered Sep 14 and haven't got my car yet (Next week tho).

I am in NSW and purchased my Mustang through a small dealer in the Hunter Valley. It was my second purchase of a vehicle through the same dealer in less than 12 months. They charged me $1,995 dealer delivery however they did Window Tint the car for me. They tend to automatically window tint all new cars they sell.

You are going to struggle to get anything thrown in taking into account the number of orders and the wait time.
