Pressing the Start Button

usually for the first start of the day, I've found that on my GT, if I press the start button and release it as the engine begins to crank it does a few cranks before it starts idles normally. (Same with remote start) If I press and hold the the start button until the engine is actually running it "starts" quicker.

Anyone else notice this?

I think it's all placebo. The ignition cycle is the same regardless of your input; it's not like turning a key and holding it in place.

So what you are saying is once I've pressed the start button, it's no longer in play? Unlike the "Keyed" start systems?

Yep. Bump start came in 2011. The dude that programmed the car said that was one of the hardest things to get right
