Hi guys,

This is my first post in here.

Do you have any reviews on the stock audio in the Premium package. I had a 2005 shaker 500 before and really liked it. I was expecting the 9 speaker premium audio to be as good if not better. However, I felt really disappointed when I got a chancedto spend about 10 min with it in my dealership.

I have tried the shaker pro the same day and was unable to justify the price they ask for this.

All in all, i think both these systems are in no way 'Premium' but i still went ahead and ordered the premium package for the remaining goodies.

Do you have any suggestions on how to improve this without braking the bank.

All i need is good, clear tones with good bass that is equal to the shaker 500 of the past.

May be I am wrong in comparing these systems without giving the new one enough break-in period.

Did you mess with the EQ, turn off Speed Volume, mess with any of the other settings? I also had the Shaker 500 in my 2005 Mustang GT Premium Vert. I eventually replaced the head into with a pioneer and likely would have replaced the speakers if I was planning on keeping it any longer but i just sold it to my dealership. I think it is still too early to know what an aftermarket rig would run you but the general consensus seems to be 2k or more for a better system.

Yes I did mess with the settings. (Bass/Low, Mid, Treble/High)

Overall the Bass felt less thumping than the Shaker 500 and the tones felt muddy.

Also, on the shaker 1000, there was enough door vibration(as expected). You might have to end up using some damping material in the doors.

I have tested with a variety of HQ audio by the way.
