I was in traffic today, coasting down hill and finally traffic picks up enough to put it in gear. When I do I get a powertrain fault light, pre-collision assist not available warning and it goes in to limp mode. I get home and let it set for a minute and start it back up and no light and everything seems fine. Is it worth taking it in for service since everything seems fine and there are no warning lights?

Same thing happened to me once. I had stopped for a break facing downhill. I started the engine and since there was no traffic I just let it roll in neutral until it picked up speed, then I shifted into gear (maybe 3rd?) and got those same lights, messages and limp mode. I stopped right away, turned it off and then started it and drove off. Everything was back to normal and it never happened again. I don't think they like to coast,. You could test this by doing it again, but I'm not going to.
