Powerdercoat factory wheels black?

Hi everyone, I just picked up my triple yellow gt premium with the 19 inch wheels and I was wondering what you all think about powder coating them gloss black? Would they look good or bad?

I think it would look really good if you blacked out the wheels, emblems, smoked the tailights and did a nice dark window tint.

You could always try dipping them first. Its not too much effort and it would only cost you about $20 or so to find out if you like it before you pay to get them powdercoated.

I would say plastidip them. It'll cost you $20-30. Someone here did it on the stock 18's and it looks great. IMO, unless you are in a car show I don't see a reason to spend so much money on the wheel color that a few cans pf plastidip can do just the same.

I like those optional 19's and if it was me I would get them powdercoated.

Thanks for posting the pic!! Like he said I just dipped the wheels on my GT took my time and it came out amazing!! One tac coat 4-5 heavy coats and 2 coats of plasti dip glossifier.

And if you do do this route, a tip is to use index cards inbetween the rim and tire, just wedge them in so you don't have to scrape the plasti dip off the tire. I did that in my Turbo Veloster.

IMO those are the best looking factory wheels. 1" drop and hubcentric spacers to push them out just a tad and you'd be rolling quite nicely.
