Premium or not, almost all models have 6-way power seats. Thats sliding forward and backwards, height up and down, even power lumbar.

Except the backrest recline  .....

Have yet to find a single picture with a mustang with power recline..wth?! My focus even has this. I can think of several other cars with manual folding chairs to allow rear passengers to pass through that still have automatic recline. Not on the drivers side, and not even in the premium model.

And No, sorry to everyone who invested $1,800 in the memory/BLIS/Shaker package, you still don't get power recline with memory seats either. Memory seats without even power recline...?

what?

i'd say it would be a HUGE pain in the ass to use a power seatback just to get in-out of the back seat. is it really that difficult to set your back manually? folders would add unnecessary weight.

actually, I don't think i've ever been in a 2-door that had a power back.

this might be the most ridiculous thing I can think of to be upset about.

I had the power recline in my g37 coupe. I actually think it's quicker with a manual recline. I would not care if the car had it or not.
The one thing it had that I liked was a button on the passenger seat facing the driver, so the driver can move the passenger seat back and forth.

I am not suggesting the process of moving in and out of the back seat is power operated, that most definitely should be mechanical. Reclining the actual seat to a comfortable position should be power operated, especially in higher trims.

Have you ever set the seatback while driving? Not the safest thing in the world going backwards with the other hand on a live steering wheel at speed. If a Focus has it, this is a dumb cost-cutting measure. One power motor weighs less than five pounds. Also every manually adjustable seatback has the tendency to get stuck between two settings or one side clicks, very annoying and cheap in a $30-40k car

no, why would I need to do that EVER? Set it & forget it.
Some of us change driving positions, especially on long drives or with long commutes. I have had on more than one occasion people comment on how much they prefer (full) powered seats to be able to make finite adjustment where manual folding ones have set positions that may or may not be in preference and even reference the seat back in specific. Why offer half a power seat, or even power lumbar but not the power seat back?

Look were both mustang junkies but I wont agree with Czar Ford on every little aspect of the vehicle they designed. 5lbs and a few dollars would be washed on something this 'expensive' and powerful when you consider cheaper cars offer the feature and even base Mustang's have power seat operation. Its not like Ford did this so the Mustang could hit 150mph get 40mpgs and save $2000 off the sticker.

and why tout DO NOT FEED THE TROLL just because you disagree?

I prefer the manual recline. My last two vehicles both had power recline and required constant fiddling and adjusting as they would gradually recline on their own. Since I have kids that will be regularly using the back seat, the manual release, in my mind, would be quicker in and out for them as well...

I actually thought it did have power recline. This is actually quite disappointing. Granted I haven't had power recline before, but I have had a turn knob for reclining which allowed infinite incremental adjustments to the reclining feature. I much more prefer precise adjustments vs a notched system. Go sit an a VW and tell me how you like that system. The height adjustment is even Manual and can be precisely moved. The only thing than is in increments is fwd/aft. Which will be nice to have motorized. I don't think it would have been hard to design a release to allow the seat back to be folded forward and have the seat move forward as well, with a release switch for entry and exit of the back seat. I honestly feel having these notched adjustment points is going to suck.

It really defeats the purpose of even having the motors in the seat in the first place. Why not just have the whole thing manual if the seat back isn't power?

Makes no sense, my 20004, 2011 and now 2013 have all had power recline in addition to manual recline. It's not as effective as the manual one is, but it allows you to fine tune pretty easy. As for the memory seats, MUCH nicer after letting someone drive your car (e.g. taking it to the shop). Just press your button and it goes back to exactly where you had it. I can't wait to get that, personally. It takes me forever to get my seat comfortable again after someone else drives it.

Damn man, Mustang lives forever. How was that future Mustang, and please tell me you met Yoda?

I just don't get it. Why are you people changing your seating position so much?
Do you not ever let anyone in your backseat? or put groceries and other items you bought in your back seat? or stuff your taking to the beach/lake? or how bout you work midnights and you take a nap on your lunch?

I more so care about the very incremental adjustments being able to be made. Even if it stayed manual, there should at least be a turn knob. I used to be annoyed with the knob but now that I'm used to it I wouldn't want it any other way :) except w/ power lol. One of my favorite things about my GTI is the ability to lay the seat back completely flat. It is amazing.

Why would I waste my time loading from the passenger side, just to go over to the drivers side and drive? Granted my drivers side has a mechanical memory for which I move my seat forward, but still. Why limit yourself to the passenger side seat? Now I do understand using the passenger side if it's a quick stop as then I would only use the front seat. But if it's a large shop stop, then I use the whole car.

Also, i've put more than one person in the back seat of my car before. Or how about another example...cleaning your car, do you only go in from the passenger seat? That makes no sense to me. Just to avoid moving your drivers seat?
