I don't care for the memory option, this has nothing to do with remembering what position it was in, imo. I'm more advocating the allowance of incremental adjustments which is highly valuable.

Just wanted to update, it's confirmed by Ford. Recline is NOT powered and IS manually adjusted.

Different class of vehicle, but the Porsche 911 has power recline AND manual release.

It also has the very convenient move-the-seat-backwards and steering-wheel-up feature when turning off and exiting the vehicle, maximizing the room to get out of and into the car. When re-entering and then powering up, the seat and steering wheel come back to the desired driving position. Very helpful for larger people (I am 6'3").

The Fiat does NOT have power seats though! And yes, it is a terror in the canyons. I've had many, well, Mustang GTs and even Ducati motorcycles give up and pull over to let me by :clap2:. The Porsche was a lifelong dream and only possible after finally paying off my house mortgage. Now I have a Porsche mortgage . Yet I am dying to have the new Mustang GT as a DD and I DON'T CARE if it doesn't have power recline.;)

I don't want to add fuel to the fire here, but power recline IMO is a great feature.

I have a 2008 G37S coupe, and it has power recline. When I need to get into the back seat it has a lever you pull on the top of the seat and it manually folds all the way forward, and then automatically slides forward under power. Once done getting into or out of the back, you pull the seat back up to the position it was in before and press a little button next to the lever you pulled earlier to fold it forward, and it power slides back to where it was.

Where I would want the power seat back is because both my wife and I like our performance cars and we both drive the car. Some wives do like to drive fast and also know how to use a manual transmission. We aren't the same height and dimensions naturally so we both have different seating position requirements. Having to manually adjust the seat back every time after one of us drives the car is a royal pain in the ass.

At the very least, if I pay extra for the package that includes the memory buttons, then add power recline to that package.....

Wait you have to pull it back up AND press a button... that sounds like a lot of work

I love the sarcasm.....

My main point is if you have 2 people in your home that want to drive the same car frequently, power recline with a position memory feature is priceless.

Be greedy and keep the car to yourself:headbang:
