I did not use a paint booth.No prob. Just got done reading it myself, looks like you'd need decent access to a paint booth and tools to get this kind of result.
I refinished and painted mine. Prep is everything. Mine still look great.

The horse outline pops out from the center cap with a small flathead screwdriver.
All prep and paint after that.
