For those of us who are just waiting on a truck to deliver our long awaited S550's, what are your plans for Day One? My boss has already agreed to let me off for the day, so assuming all goes well and I'm off the lot at a reasonable hour, here's what I have planned:

Having grown up in these mountains I've purposely avoided Tail of the Dragon until I had a car worthy of taking up there. I'll be anxious to grab some chow, down some energy drinks and just drive for over six hours straight and then celebrate with a beer at work!

Are you guys looking at anything like this? Or an afternoon of detailing and oogling instead?

Thanks for this! I was just about to do this haha. I don't have any problem playing host and leading the charge. My guess is we'll want to target the first or second weekend in November. The weather should be nice and cool, the leaves will be changing, and we'll be certain anyone who wants to join has their S550!

Anyone who can, bring a GoPro. I've got some photographer friends to hit up, and even a local car club to ask around at.

I probably won't have mine till December time frame. But I agree if it's to be done this year 1st or 2nd week of November is probably best due to weather I'm assuming.

Im in depending on when mine gets here. I only live about 1hr from the Dragons Tail on the TN side. Im very familiar with that road and roads surrounding it. I ran the Tail 11 times in one day with my SVT Focus 2 weeks after I bought it in 2002. I plan on organizing a trip with the Chattanooga Cobra club too.

Not for certain but I will get it before december as long as it gets built by the end of october as it is currently scheduled

Mine was built yesterday and hoping to take delivery 10/23-10/29. Hoping the weather will still be good for a nice drive!
