Hey guys! I'm new here and new to the mustang crowd. I just purchased a set of wheels and I am having some difficulty deciding what tire size to choose. The specs on the wheels are 20x9.5 +33 for the front and 20x10.5 +50 for the rear. My mustang is my daily driver so I want to find tire sizes that give it that nice muscle car look but are also not going to destroy my fenders and quarter panels if I hit a nasty bump on my drive to work. It seems that the most common for a 9.5 seems to be 255-275, and for 10.5 somewhere between 285-305 and 315 on the really aggressive stuff. I was into the JDM thing back in my teenage years and it was all about stretching tires for crazy fitment, and I've matured from that. Unfortunately, I do not have a great deal of knowledge on getting proper flush fitment. If you guys could shoot some suggestions my way I would GREATLY appreciate it. Thanks so much. I'm glad to be part of the forum!

@Jaeger_s550 I'd go with MPS4s in 265/35 and 305/30 for those wheels. I had 20x9.5 +30 275/35 and 20x11 +55 315/35 nitto invo on my last car, and planned to replace those tyres with my recommended MPS4s.

It kinda depends on how you drive the car, how low it is too etc. I drive hard, and my car was slammed on coilovers so I rubbed a lot at the front. If you want to keep the handling fairly neutral though go with 275/35 and 295/35

I don't driver it super hard and I think I'd rather keep both sidewalls at the same aspect ratio so I think I'll go with the 275/295 combo, as I do plan to lower it on eibach sportlines. Thank you so much for the response! I really appreciate it.

Aspect ratio is just a percentage of width. Just an FYI - sidewall height on 265/35 and 305/30 is 1mm difference (compared to 7mm difference for the 275/35 & 295/35). I wanted the profile and overall diameter to look identical front:rear, so that's why I was leaning towards the 265/305 combo

No worries though, looking forward to seeing pics!

Gotcha! I have a lot to learn lol. I do think I'll be sticking with 275/295. My wheels came in today, they look great. Tires will have to come later unfortunately. I'm a 22 year old nursing student so funds are limited, but all in due time!

Here's mine....started out with Touren 20x10 rear and 20x8 front. Went to Rohana 20x11 rear and 20x10 front. Didn't realize it was going look that aggressive on the rear. Anyone have a setup like the latter? Any issues?

Thanks.

Yeah that’s not a good S550 offset...

You could adjust the camber to bring it in. What camber are you currently running?

Looks like the highest offset they come in for 20x11 is +28, that's way off for an S550. Need lots of stretch and camber to get that anywhere near close to no rub

Yeah...I thought so too.

Holy poke! What's the offset?
+28...

I have no idea, but I'm not sure I want to mess with it. I think I'm going to just buy a different set of rims with a larger offset.

You are correct! I have the RC10's. The do have a 20x11 +50 offset in the RC9's. I will probably go with that.

I know this is a wheel thread but that side exhaust and color matched side skirts
More info needed

It's a custom job done by a company called Sherrod. Lot's of folks on here don't like it, but to each his own! I ordered a new set of wheels today , so I will be changing the current ones out.
