Hello; Nice try but I can see thru it. I figure others can as well. If my associating you with Burkey is an insult to you such is news to me, but I will concede since it is your feelings and your call. I think of you two as the twins because you argue with me in similar ways often at the same time. I will take my lumps if the mods find me at fault.

I did ask you more than once to stop the name calling. I gave you some chances to stop before doing a report. I even reminded you recently.
Why do you visit this site and cause strife when you don’t even own a car this site is dedicated to?

This notion that grew out of the current "environment" - that there's no value in (and in fact, hostility towards) subject matter expertise - that the opinion of people without degrees/formal vocation [in the topic] should be given the same credibility ...

It's absurd.

It's a bunch C&P-ing content they don't understand, it's internet Dunning-Kruger, it's this:

Yeah I don't get it. The guy is saying its socialism to value the opinions of qualified individuals and then goes to say his opinion should hold equal weight despite him not being qualified. Saying that you can rise above and have your opinion be equal weight despite being unqualified is literal textbook communist/socialist revolutionary ideology (working class rising above the bourgeoisie). So I don't really understand. That is one of the big contributing factors as to why the USSR failed. It was because they had unqualified people managing everything. Its why the Chernobyl reactor blew up. It wasn't the other way around

I mean..... to each their own but I would certainly not join the toyota forum just because I like their cars. If I don't own one then no I'm not going to waste my time on a particular car forum. I could of joined the Honda forum but no thanks I don't drive that car enough and not interested in learning about them.

I don't have a problem with @sk47 but most of the threads he starts causes
bickering back and forth, all the time. But whatevs. Everyone has their little clicks on here like HS kids.

If I get rid of my mustang I wouldn't be on here all the time like I am now.

Some of you guys & gal are a joy to chat back and forth with though 🍻 that would be the only reason I would be on here after selling my gt.

Forums are full of different topics of course but come on... stop the arguing and fighting about shit that you can't change.

Yeah, I usually get pretty involved in a car forum __when/while__ I own the namesake car, but after I move on to something else, I just move on. If I've made any close friends, I'm usually already communicating outside the forum.

Funny enough, I run into a few of the same people across forums, there's a group of us on two of the same [different make/model] forums, and a couple of those folks are from here!

I'm just watching a few sales threads, chatting up a few people in PMs, and plinking around in here, but I'm moving on. Had my '15 till '19, then the new '19 till now, it's gone, I'm on to a whole new thing (for both our cars) :D

Hello; A few times it has been suggested I should not be on this site since I do not own a Mustang. Not sure how to feel about this. I first started here to find out if rumors I ran across about Mustangs were correct. So far the jury is still out on some things but I have learned a lot.
I had been looking at and did try to buy a Mustang twice three times. A couple of odd things happened which had me walking away from the deals. Most recent was a used 1997. If the strange times ever get back to normal I will search for a mustang again. I have owned more ford products than other brands for what that is worth.

I did not start this thread with the idea of causing a fuss. I started it in the off topic lounge portion of the forum so as to not interfere with the more pure mustang talk. If you go back to the first page of posts you will find the disagreements started soon enough. You will also perhaps note some familiar members showing up. The same members who had fussed with me on other threads.
Having had some experience I did ask early on that we keep it civil. On a different forum where I was a member for nine years there were similar personality conflicts and the posts got rude and out of hand. I held my own and responded in kind. That site eventually had to clamp down on all of us and now is pretty much blah. The mods clamp down too hard anymore.

This site has been good in that we can discuss a range of topics. Most members do not get out of line. I learned a lesson and do try to be civil. I do not plan to shut up and go away, but will try to continue to present my ideas in a clear and thought out way. I enjoy a lively discussion and do wish such could be done without some of the rancor. Those of you who have followed this thread and a few others know how it goes.

I can handle the back and forth. I can be vulgar and use offensive language, but try not to do so. I do catch myself getting testy sometimes and will walk it back. I often do not post a response that first comes to mind. I have on occasion deleted comments written and just not posted them. I can appreciate the memes and ribbing. I am an old boomer. I can accept others have a point of view very different from mine. What I learned from the other site is the name calling and snipping escalates.
I decided to ask for no name calling in this thread as the OP. I do not know if an OP has any reason to expect any deference at all, but I did ask. Maybe I am going against the culture here in that the forum operators are fine with some name calling and bickering. I do not wish to spoil the party. If I am asking for something not in line with the nature of this site, then I can change. I just need to know the limits.
I have enjoyed the conversation with many of you.

I also want to add, if you get Covid and you aren't vaccinated make sure your doc prescribes a inhaled cortacaid steroid such as Dulera, Symbicort and others. It could possibly save your life. I believe my Symbicort saved my life when I got Covid.
