The red accent makes it look like a ricer dude. That trend died 10 years ago after the movie 2 fast 2 furious ..

I love the black wheels on my car. It makes it look mean IMO.

Man youve got that Mustang shinin' like a new dime. What are using on it, Ashpian?

Not to hijack this thread on black wheels, but I used Pinnacle Souveran paste wax for the first time this weekend, and I'm really liking the ease of use and the deep shine.

I guess I'm too damned old to appreciate the black wheel thing. My kids like it, I don't. When I was their age (well, a little younger actually. I'm not that old) a car with black wheels was one that either had the hubcaps stolen or the owner couldn't afford hubcaps so it came with black steel wheels.
Besides, you cannot see any detail in the wheel when they are all black.

At first glance I thought your stang had a WICKED S197 "Lava Red" paint job! FWIW I prefer silver or lighter wheels. Black wheels are nice on some colors, but I like the contrast of wheel & tire

I like the wheels on the Camaro parked next to you better. Black wheels, especially gloss black, obscure all detail.

don't listen to them, your wheels smoke those 1999 chrome thingys

i don't get how yall think black and gloss black obscures any detail. I can see each individual spoke from far away... especially when it's clean.

It's OK everyone is entitled to their opinions. :) That was the purpose of this thread because the OP wanted peoples thoughts.
