I was hesitant on the black PP wheels when I ordered my car but I completely changed my mind after seeing them in person - they look fantastic!

This was the picture that initially sold me on the black PP wheels on race red:

Black wheels have become very common...both OEM & aftermarket...no longer very distinctive...

I prefer gloss gunmetal grey...or gloss black with machined highlight's...

I have black rims on my GT PP. And I do like them with my car being white. I wasn't a big fan of black rims because they usually look dirty to me. But I love them now since having them for about 2 months. I do want chrome rims but I know that chrome is kind of out of date. Maybe one day I'll change them.

Like the black PP wheels.

But now that I've had the car a few months, I think a nice gun metal type color would look good with ruby red. Something that's close to the color of my Plasti-Dipped pony and badges, which is called "anthracite." I've thought about having them stripped and powder coated, but haven't decided yet.

This.

I started powder coating mine black a loooong time ago. I liked they way hid brake dust on my big brake setups, looked, and we're different from everyone else. These days is played out to me. Ive even see goofy cars like the Prius with black wheels.... When it's new wheels time, I'm probably looking at another choice like bronze or goldies which, I rarely see nearly as much. Depends on car color. My OW GT would be bronze, though.

Not a fan of black wheels. Yes, they help hide brake dust, but so do ceramic pads.

I think that black wheels are just played out and everyone has them. A polished lip or chromed lip with the black is alright because it breaks up the black. Now the new trend in bronze looks nice, but that's not what was asked in this thread, so Sorry for the shift in gears!

Just my .02!

I always figure by the time the OEMs start producing cars/parts based on a trend or fad it's time for that trend to die..
