Sorry to bring bad news, but I'm also not happy this morning  :frusty:

Just find this on my car before going to my work !
Now, I screwed the plate on the Bumper and STOP with a custom plate holder !

Like Notes, I've to find a white paint filler to hide the scratch :tsk:
Oh F*ck oh F*ck, sorry to hear/see this John! I guess the story ends here for both of us.
What puzzles me though is how can you scratch the top of the bumper while the holder was under the bumper? Is it from the the screw with ears that you hold the plate in place with? It fell off twisted, right side first, so the left side came hanging over the bumper.

2, did you wash the car recently or been in the rain? I'm almost start to think that the water slowly gets under the tape until it falls of.

3, did you have a look under the bumper for marks as well?

Good luck man!

Sad to hear that, mate :(
Probably the plate bracket is too heavy and the tape requires the full 3 days to become strong enough.. or maybe the paint is weaker than the US version!

BTW: Notes' scratch reveal a white background on his black car, but on your white car there is a black background??

EDIT: kudos to both of you guys, to be the first tester for this plate holder, and to Pichon to try to do something for all us euro people. Things would not always go as we want :-/
The bracket is really Heavy, as I posted few times ago.
Yeah, by my car the background is Black (original color of the Bumper ?).

No, the Bumper is scratched under there where the bracket was with 3M stripes but on the edge.

2, Yes, yesterday I had a lot of rain here in my Area, maybe for that ?

3, All the marks are under the Bumper, nothing in front of them. The only thing I have is this scratch under the bumper.
The 3M stripes did not let a track, it goes away really easy.

I asked my Dealer this thing to mount the bracket :
1. Clean the area whit "White Spirit"
2. Put the 3M and stay lean for 10 seconds
3. After 24h, put than the all bracket in place

But, not work properly !

Ok I see now, the spot's on the bumper in the first picture are light reflections then... phew, thought they were scratches.

It's still a weird scratch under the bumper though, as it's left from where the metal plate was. But then again it was a twisted fall I think, right corner first while it was still hanging there.

This is not good news... it looked good though IMO while it lasted :)

Notes could you do a write up of your alternative solution? I can't seem to figure out how that would work... are you going to use the "hole pointers" from Ford? Or do you need some other holes, plate bending etc...

If Pichon can't come up with something that actually works I may have to go for this too or the Ford OEM one... (so something good came out of my car being delayed in shipping?!!)

I will simply screw the plate on the bumper.. easy as that!
No reason to screw a plate holder on the bumper and then a plate on the plate holder :)

My alternative solution is this one, I will try again with 3M tape. http://www.amazon.de/gp/product/B0040FVB5O?psc=1&redirect=true&ref_=oh_aui_detailpage_o01_s00

Good looking references in this thread http://www.mustang6g.com/forums/showpost.php?p=737263&postcount=1

Yet the difficulty is to position it correctly in one go, you can't re-position the tape. I'm at my second attempt as it wasn't straight yesterday, then it got dark and rainy.

The idea comes from @NewMustangDE I'm not sure if he used holes/screws or tape though. Holes & screws are easier to position it correctly.

Maybe you guy's have a tip for me to get it in a straight line/position.
Ideas are welcome while I'm waiting for the rain to stop and some sunshine... according to the meteo this would be between 1PM & 2PM

Hello Euro guys, I am still considering a sto n sho bracket despite the worry of ground clearance. The thought of a square bracket & no holes in my bumper is quite cool :) I read on the CJ Pony parts website that for vehicles with a performance pack, the sto n show won't fit - something to do with the wind breaker/plastic strip underneath being in a different place. I have an Ecoboost on order, can anyone tell me what the underneath of the bumper looks like? Is it like this;

The one in the picture is a V8, the ecoboost follows the other line, curved line.

I have the Ecoboost without the performance package in the States. The Sto and Sho requires you to deform the air deflector. I used Craigs Custom Bracket with the 3M tape. No problems with the tape holding.

ok thanks, so that idea is out of the window then! Don't want to start chopping up the bumper components. Might just have to live with it screwed direct on the bumper I guess

This one says it fits all Mustangs except the 50 Year and PP GTs, so you might be ok with a PP EB. Be worth asking them first however as I though all our cars came with the same chin spoiler.

This is what I intend to go with. Already spoken to the dealer about not drilling the bumper and he seemed compliant. We'll see how that plays out :)

SteveS, problem is that the sto-n-sho has to be mounted very low in front of the lower grille. Many US guys had hit curbs and pavement and broke something.

How many screws have you used? In our front plate we have 4 screws.
However the first impression is not bad, it's so thin that pratically diasppear in bumper.
