Take it from someone who spent 20K to make my 2015 C7 a 700 RWHP beast, don't bother modding unless you want to only use it for show. While I liked the car, I thought I'd like it better with 700 RWHP, it simply was not practical and the car's power far exceeded my ability to drive it. I truly felt like that car would be my coffin. Add to that I had thrown out the entire PT warranty at 500 miles and it was an all around bad move. Once I decided I needed to sell it, I lost every dime that I put into the mods.

I got the GT350 because I felt 525 HP was enough for the street. I've also always wanted a Shelby. The Corvette was on my bucket list as was a Shelby. Now if I can get a Lambo, my car bucket list will be complete :)

I have read that there is not a ton of power to gain by modifying a GT350 unless you go F/I which will kill one of your 4 goals, leave it stock and enjoy it. Just my .02

Borla

Exhaust and driver mod! :D

Lots of people seem to be interested in the Borla system.. We can't wait to get it to our customers.

It's fricken fantastic! Sound is awesome....but the biggest difference came from
Borla X pipe! I can definitely feel the HP gain! And, it's real pretty!

So far I've gone with weight reduction and handling as my best perceived performance gains.

I've lost about 36lbs with resonator delete and Project 6GR R-Spec Wheels.

The handling gains happened when I went with R-Spec tires in the Cup 2's on said R-Spec wheels. They aren't carbon fiber wheels, but they do cost 1/4 the price for a full set compared to 1 carbon fiber wheel.

I probably gained about 1-2 hp changing to an Air-Raid filter, mostly because it's blue. ;)

As for modifying the exhaust? I am almost certain that, in Sport Mode, this stock exhaust is straight through. Remove the resonators and you have the GT350 R setup. The only hindrance = cats, which for obvious reasons would remain.

My next goal is to loose about 10-15 more lbs in the driver seat. :ninja:;)
Rear seat delete! also the Borla setup sheds quite a bit of weight. I thought about the 6GR R spec wheel but I am skeptical of its durability on track. Also you could remove the passenger seat for track days and save another big chunk. I am not replacing my recaros because they are wonderful, for me at least.

How is that possible when in sport mode it is basically a strait pass through, bypassing the muffler? X-pipe?
read the initial thread. It is pretty clear to me that the tubing is not ideal from ford. Next time you get under your car look at your exhaust and you will see varying diameters through out. I am certain that the 350 mufflers are not as free flowing as the Borlas as well.
