So I was looking for a place to do my alignment post lowering and it looks like Pedders is an option given their lower hoist.

Anyway... it turns out they sell camber bolts that will fit the mustang. A$55, which works out to be about A$5 more (assuming 0.72FX) than the whitelines ones from CJ excl the postage.

They can also fit said bolts for $66, but I'd just fit it myself and get them to do the alignment. only. Geez $66 to remove 2 bolts!

Anyone used Pedders camber bolts? Thoughts?

Ok - update on my conversation with self :headbonk:

I got the Pedders camber bolts:

http://shop.pedders.com.au/pedder-camber-pin-14mm-pair-458014.html

They come with 2 spacer/tab/washing thingie instead of 1 like some other aftermarket ones - which supports the bolt spacing on both sides.

Also the torque load for the bolt is 180 lbs/ft instead which is closer to the OEM bolt compared to other brands.

Installation was pretty smooth. Trickiest part was getting the second washer in - kinda have to screw the bolt onto it to ensure the spacing tab fits into the hole ;)

At max positive camber - the wheel looks vertical now.. will see how the alignment goes tomorrow.

What are you aiming for in terms of alignment?
The S550 runs a fair bit of castor from the factory, so you gain a fair chunk of negative camber as you turn the wheel. Negative camber is your friend on a car that has a natural tendency for ridiculous amounts of understeer, like the S550 does...
Just saying

Mainly getting it back to stock. After lowering it the increased -ve camber is visually obvious. Handles great etc, but that is only needed 5% of the time when im being silly.

Also I'm not sure whats happend to the toe as well, but i'm guessing shes more toey now so that needs to be fixed ;)

Unlikely for me to track the car anytime soon, so improved tire conservation is a consideration. Ive had Pzeros in my previous car and they only lasted 20k and at c.$450 a pop for these phat rubber no matter what brand you get, i'd like to get 30-40k km. Especially when im likely to do 20k a year.
