I’m looking into suspension mods to improve handling and lower the car a bit and am considering the Pedder system with wheel spacers - does anyone have the Pedder system and what is their review of it - and what else should I be considering?

Pedders do a variety of different options - the range has expanded quite a bit over the last couple of years.

The lowering springs do exactly what it says on the box - the handling and ride comfort is very good. They have a similar drop to Eibach ProKit springs and in my opinion a little bit more compliance. Great value for money.

There is an EzFit suspension kit which is a fixed ride height (30mm lower) and fixed damping - I haven't seen or tried these yet.

The Extreme coil over system is a big improvement in both ride and handling with the ability to set the ride height exactly as you want it and a single adjuster for the damping it makes a significant difference to the body control and makes the car feel a lot more precise. This is our most popular system and what we have on our demo car. Our first demo car (now with ProAlloy) has over 30,000 miles on one of these sets with lots of really hard driving and is standing up very well indeed.

They also do a coil over kit with adjustable camber plates and roller bearings which will give you more adjustment and would suit a car used regularly on track.

Finally they now do a kit with remote reservoirs for more hard core track use - we've yet to give these a try.

Wheel spacers tend to go hand in hand mainly because the geometry of the suspension means that when you lower the car it exaggerates the fact that the wheels are tucked into the arches - spacers will counter this. The width of spacers is down to personal choice and how much you're lowering the car.

they've finally started offering the adjustable top plates in the uk like they do in the states? is it possible to get them independent of the suspension ie: without having to buy an entire kit again ? :)

Yes, I got my pedders camber plates from nemesis, and separate to my coilovers, also got camber bolts as well which you can also get seperatley.

For what it's worth, I've had my pedders on for nearly 2 years and they're amazing! I run at finger width arch height (gives the car squatting room), and 8-10 from hard on suspension, then for the drag strip, the fronts go to full soft and rears to full hard. - for the track I tend to go down to about 3 on hard on all 4 corners - but depends on how it's handling on street setup in the warmups.

ffs just take my money Guy!!

I have pedders too, no camber plates/bolts though. if you have them soft the ride is very comfortable but they can get a bit clunky when going over bumps. if you set them harder they feel very assured, but you feel every bump in the road. no regrets, although my tyres are wearing unevenly due to camber and they "were" nonadjustable when I got them, apparently not now.

if you've not got camber bolts, just get the camber plate it'll do enough, the camber bolts add a bit more of a pain in the arse to the installers - however if u wanna get perfection may as well get both when theyre like £20

So, how are those bushes I made you holding out? I still haven’t fitted mine. I have the camber plates from Pedders, I got mine in from the US last year. Apparently they are an ass to adjust because you need to remove them to adjust them?

They're going amazingly, we fitted them with some rust proof spray (I did message you on facebook lol). Not sure who else has fitted them from the originals.

Yes, all top mounts you need to remove the bloody things to adjust, or cut the strut, annoying as fuck, but once it's aligned once you just paint the lines on for what alignment and you can notch it off and move it to tag it back up yourself. However i've not had to do it yet.

wonder if the steeda plates or hotparts or bmr plates that can be adjusted without dropping the whole thing out would fit the pedders suspension top

Steeda and BMR dont fit the pedders top mounts, all the same issue - can't adjust "on" the car i believe

We tried numerous things to fit the steeda ones on mine, didn't work and exchanged them for pedders ones. BMR's I've not tried on pedders but would assume also don't fit.

I must be missing something here. What's the point of adjustable plates if you have to remove them to adjust. Would the camber bolts not do much the same thing? More adjustable I assume?

Is this the reason i've seen pictures on FB of cars with massacred strut towers?
