Anyone had this issue?

Neither switch is commanding action from the window. Opening the door still causes it to lower and raise when shut.

Anyone know where the fuse and or relay is?

Gotta love it..

If I remember correctly the power is fed though the drivers side switches. The auto roll up and down comes from a always on source so it doesn’t feed from the same wire.

I would check power on the back of the driver switch to see if the problem is there. If it is check passenger for power.

If there is power on the driver and not passenger check the wires in the boots were door opens and closes. Ford had a problem with that for years on older cars but I wouldn’t think it’s the problem. It’s just easy to get too.
Good points. Thinking about it now the drivers switches may have got wet a week ago. Maybe that’s my issue.

If window is indexing, don't waste your time with the fuse; it's going to be fine. Sounds like a switch or PDM (passenger door module) issue to me. If the driver's switch doesn't activate the window either, then you can isolate it to the PDM. I'd try to reset that module on FORScan before doing anything else. Good luck.

Both the driver and passenger switch don’t cause movement. The drivers window rolls down fine.

Do you know where the PDM is at? I don’t have FORSCAN.. would a battery reset do the same thing?

It should be inside the door, but don't know in the Mustang. Need to get me a service manual. But yes, I'd try disconnecting the battery (with doors closed, and windows indexed up). I'd tell you to depress the brake pedal and turn the light switch on for a few seconds, to discharge capacitors, then leave it disconnected for at least 10 minutes... but you shouldn't open the doors with the windows not indexing down, so just disconnect it for at least an hour, and see if that resets whatever electronic gremlin got into your car :D. And let us know what happened. Good luck.

The other thing you can try is resetting the module by engaging the auto-up and auto-down switch positions repeatedly. I.E. press the passenger switch to the second click on both the down and on the up (press the switch full forward and back), making sure you hold it for a second but not more and quickly doing that up and down at least 6 times. The window will suddenly start working if this was a success.

I drive my Ford Fusion in the winter and sometimes the ice will freeze the windows shut. If you try and use the auto-down feature, the module goes into a protection mode to avoid burning out the motor. That is the only thing I can think of in this case. Your passenger side window has gone into protection mode. Or something more serious is wrong.

Well, the issue somewhat resolved itself.

After playing with the switch it started working. I suspect it got enough moisture to cause light corrosion and rocking the switch enough times was able to restore function. Didn’t have to disassemble anything.

Good to hear that; at least now you know what is the issue. If it keeps giving you trouble, you can just replace it :).

As a side note, after reconnecting the battery, the window auto-up/down function wasn't lost, as an FYI. So surprisingly, it's not something that needs to be reset after such event.

Does the window do the auto drop when you open the door? Both windows?

YES.... it does the auto drop...
driver window works perfectly... passenger window started having issues intermittently and then finally stopped completely.

Someone suggested the main switch on drivers door, bought and replaced. NO go
Then I was told that if passenger side was bad NIETHER switch would work..
Bought passenger side and NO go....

Car only has 35K miles and I dont lower the windows very often as I am in S Florida and its always HOT or raining...

Thanks
Joe

If all wiring is fine, it has to be the door module then. If your car does not have memory seats, the driver and passenger door modules might be the same. If so, you could swap them to see if the problem switches sides, and you'd have your answer. But if you don't want to mess with the other door, I'd check the wiring, and if all looks well, just buy the door module. Good luck.
