wow i never really looked into the DD switchbacks because it's not my thing, but damn i had no idea that's how much it costs for 2 LED bulbs...

They are the new ones... and heres what happened... I installed the driver's side no problems... When I locked my car, I noticed my running lamp and taillamp were working fine.

Based on your description, it definitely sounds like your socket shorted as the bulb was being installed, when it "hit" something.

The tail light is digitally fused, and will reset by starting and then shutting off the vehicle and/or lights a few times. This is why it began working again, for you and the others who have posted above. Takes a few start/stop cycles over 10-15 minutes, usually.

All bulbs are fully tested before shipment, so you should have no problem at all if you wait for all your lights to shut off, change the bulb, then turn the lights back on. If you continue to have any problems, I would imagine that the bulb itself got damaged somewhere along the line. Please contact us and we'll be happy to help. You actually get four bulbs from DD, Angelo. And yes, it does seem pricey. But I've been happy with the quality of other DD bulbs I've bought, and I've seen other members touting DD's customer service when there is an issue. :cheers:
