From what I understand its just a ceramic band on the inside if the wheel closest to the brake caliper....not the outside...
I was not going to paint the inside of the wheel just the outside...just want it to be durable.
You would be better off buying some forged wheels and tires or...

Going directly to the source and ordering a set of Carbon Wheels from Carbon Revolution already ceramic coated in a gunmetal or silver.

Hmm. I understood directly opposite. The ceramic coating is said to be for UV Protection (Carbon Fiber isn't durable to UV exposure) and for removal of brake dust/protection from corrosives (road salt, etc.) When looking at the wheel, you can see where the color stops inside the barrel, which would lead me to believe the coating is on the outside of wheel where its main exposure to Light/Elements would be.

You may be correct, and I wrong, though. I can't see why there would be a ceramic costing not for protection of UV exposure if it only on the area of the wheel least likely to be exposed, yanno?

The special ceramic coating on the inside of the wheel to protect the resins from the extreme heat of the brakes. The paint on the outside of the wheels is there to protect the resins from UV exposure.

So you are both correct. :)

I would have them plastidipped.

It will change color for you, will not be permanent, nor harm the wheel.

If it gets damaged, peel off and reapply.
I think it's your safest bet!
You just came in this thread and Slingblade'd all of us with the most obvious answer no one had suggested. Kudos to you, I feel like a complete idiot right now. Haha.
