Now if I could only make up my mind on whether to pull the trigger on a CAI.

I'm running Ford Racing's touring cat backs and Bama's track tune. I'm thinking about either Steeda or JLT's CAI, but there are discussions on here essentially stating that the stock air box is pretty good and there is minimal or no HP and torque gains from a CAI.

If I knew I could get even minimal HP/torque gains from the CAI (plus updating my tune to the CAI), I'd go for it b/c I also like the underhood look that a CAI adds, plus I think it would enhance the induction sound.

I'd really like to see some HP/torque numbers from just adding a CAI to an exisitng set up like mine. Of course the manufacturers and retailers claim an increase, but I'd like to know what fellow forum members have experienced.

Here ya go, Vile. I snapped a couple of pics at lunch. For the sides, I used VHT's silver engine enamel, which is a bit lighter than the original silver/grey color. And the red of course is the Duplicolor metal cast over the VHT silver.

Dumb question, but did you have to remove the strut brace to install the engine plenum cover, or were you able to, slip it out from under the strut brace and put it, back on without removing the strut brace?

Not a dumb question at all, Ralph. I managed to remove the engine cover without having to remove the brace; but it was such a tight fit, I loosened the brace really well to re-install the cover so as not to scratch up the new paint.
