What people are asking is, what is your issue? and what have you done about it? and what might Ford do about it?

details get things accomplished. But, on that note, let me explain why the paint is so thin on these cars. Ford went overboard in some areas to save weight and money. The paint was one of them. 1 less coat, or thinner coats can mean a few lbs saved per car and thousands of dollars per couple of cars.

Yeh making multiple threads about the same paint issue is overkill (and 31 of OP's 40 total posts here about his paint issue), against forum rules, and purely in bad taste.

SAD DAY! Embarrassing when people see my Ruby Red!
ANY ONE WITH RUBY RED PLEASE HELP
Paint problem

Stick to 1 thread and no need to go on and on bashing Ford. We cannot fix your paint issue, only Ford can if it is even a defect and not user error.

I have to ask how you know about Ford's new cheaper painting process . Serious question , has this been mentionned anywhere on the net ?

Mine has a nice thick factory paint coat. I'm very happy with mine. And I will say Ford stepped in and helped the 4th time the right was side was repainted as the fish eyes was coming from where the car was repainted at the factory, just happened to be the side I twisted when I curbed it. Ford as always stepped up and made things right with me.

Was mentioned by an old friend who does bodywork for a dealer in Pittsburgh. He's seen the progression through the years. Not to knock it completely, but its better quality paint than say ten years ago, just more thinly applied. Some cars look great, while others, you can tell its thinner. Also, most manufacturers are doing this in some way, shape, or form. I wouldn't call it a no shit problem unless you can see the metal through yours.

Glad to hear this, Wblv17! I'm sure your Pony looks great in her new coat. Let us know if you need anything else. :D
