Morning Gents,
I am after some advice regarding a small piece of damage to the paintwork of my new motor. It looks like one of the dreaded dried paint drops has 'snapped off' exposing all the way down to the metal. There is also another dried drop that looks like it has broken off, but this one is still showing paint underneath. I have sent some photos to the dealer for advice regarding cover under warranty. Meanwhile, they have also sent me some touch-up paint. The dealership is about 100 miles so I can't just 'pop in' for them to take a look. I could take it into my local dealership to enquire, but I am not convinced they are going to be very helpful (massive ADM on their two 350s does not indicate that the customer is at the centre of their concerns).
Clearly, if the dealer says it's covered under warranty, I will take it to them. If it is not, is using the touch up paint a risky job? Am I better off taking it to a paint shop?
Apologies for what probably seems like a pretty bone question - it's fair to say that I have not previously owned a car upon which I would mind doing a dodgy touch up job!
Many thanks.
