I get asked and hear questions about pad height. Okay so I'm not giving much info as far as words, but I think this pic showing Low, Medium and High Pad height, a section view laying over top of each other will really help self explain. As you can see the pad height gets larger to clear larger calipers, more so for caliper thickness and not as much for caliper diameter.
