They recently increased the speed limit on some portions of the PA turnpike. I drive a 13 mile section to and from work each day.
From the speed change, I have noticed about 33% more trucks than before. They are also clogging up the left lane as people let them pull out so they can pass the truck or trucks and traffic ahead of them.
Nice, except, they are doing .05 mph more than what was in font of them. With the slop of the road, they are tacking 5-10 miles to pass. Some times just a mile, but it SEEMS LIKE 90 percent are 10 miles.
This a very dust rating to not even do the speed limit in the left lane. I like to rule in Germany that trucks must stay in the right lane. People can get killed if they do not.
I will be writing my congressman to push to get a law about trucks passing each other.
I have doubts anything will happen. But, I need to do something.
