When The P51 wheels arrived, I noticed that they felt really light, and the shiny black finish is super sexy. My P51 101RF gloss black wheels are finally installed and set up properly for my build! I went all out here and did 285/35/20 rear and 315/35/20 front Michelin Pilot Supersport tires, and ended up dropping around 6lbs in the front and 11lbs in the rear with these wheels over my previous ones, these weigh 23lbs front and 22lbs in the rear. The result is a much better handling car, and with the offset of +35 front and +50 back, the fitment makes me smile. Huge difference over my previous wheel, which wasn't bad but you could tell it wasn't custom tailored to the mustang (Asanti) like the P51s are.
Unrelated to the wheels though, if you want to use 315/35/20 in the rear, probably a .5" drop spring will be about the lowest you can go without lots of issues. I had to put a 1/4" spring spacer in the rear with my Steeda Ultralites, that Steeda was kind enough to update for me with the longer new cut version. Also, I had to get BMR toe rods to adjust the rear alignment properly. Let me know what you guys think, I was told that this is the lowest it can possibly go without rubbing
