Outside Temperature Display

My outside temp display takes a very long time to show the correct outside air temperature regardless of what the actual temperature is. Can be a heatwave outside but my temperature display will show a much lower temperature and it can take more than an hour to correct. Anyone else have similar problem. Ford says it’s “normal”. Yeah right! Thanks

It takes a while to move, to prevent it fluctuating like crazy. If your garage is warm and outside is cold, or vice-versa, it takes a while to correct. If it shows the correct outside temperature after a while, it means it's perfectly fine. But as mentioned, it's also normal to be off by a few degrees. Hope this helps.

Mine’s usually pretty accurate to my phones weather app within a few degrees in a minute or two of starting up.

Ford strategy will allow the temperature to go down quickly such as coming from a warm garage to the outside. However, to prevent the displayed temperature from spiking at red lights, it puts a delay in upward readings.
