I have the best daily out there, one that is paid for by my employer. Currently it is a 2018 Escape, not the coolest car out there but the price is right. The wife has a 2018 BMW X1.

Daily is a 2020 BMW 440I X Drive Gran Coupe, Executive Package & Track Package. Special Order color combo Snapper Rocks Blue with Night Blue interior. I stole this car 6k miles & 24k off sticker with BMW CPO extended and transferable warranty . I figured I'd give BMW a try since I really couldn't fall in love with anything else and no way I get hurt at the price I paid.

I run four cars and care for six.

The one that pays for the others is my 2016 Ford Ranger. A true workhorse and the vehicle I spend most of my time in. I had the tray built with tool boxes and an drawer to store my longer tools of trade. This thing is powered by a mighty (insert sarcasm here) 2.2 diesel with a rousing 158 hp. The Ranger is my daily/beater but it gets the same level of care as my other cars.

This 2008 Falcon XR6 I have had from new and was my first brand new car. I factory ordered this car and while I don't really need this car, I just can't bring myself to part with it. Powered by a 4.0 inline six, it's an effortless cruiser.

And my favorite, the Falcon XR8. This was the final model of Falcon so is pretty special to me. These were powered by a supercharged Coyote V8 producing close to 500 hp. I like how understated this car is yet can bite your head off if provoked.

It's a 07 V6 F150 long bed I stole for just a couple bucks. It's a decent beater which I love. I've always drove relatively nice cars that I took care of and always selective where I parked to avoid dings, etc. There is something freeing about driving a vehicle you don't care if it's gets dinged up or a construction truck throws debris on you driving down the road. Plus sitting high up is great in heavy traffic too.

Currently the "rule" is nothing comes on the property that's too big to be carried by me, unless something of equivalent size also leaves the property at the same time.

At least until I get the bigger shop built. Apparently a detached full size two car (parking, lawn equipment and apparently now furniture storage) + another detached shop (my Mustang parking, all tools and work space) is not big enough. So yeah...

So the current "fleet" has been thinned:

1996 Bronco XLT (99% rust free) was originally supposed to be a project...but then two other Broncos were acquired. It's death was not in vain however - it donated it's 5.0 (which I built and installed in the '95 Bronco my son drives) and it's donating it's clean frame to someone, it's rot free tub to someone else and many other parts...

Great story behind this thing. Was looking for a K5 Project. Everything was swiss cheese (and expensive swiss cheese at that). Ran across this on FB marketplace. The former owner / driver worked at a Ford dealership in the parts department. They originally bought it from the original owner in TX. One day it wouldn't start leaving work. So he replaced the battery. Still no start. He had it towed home. Where it sat for two years. I bought it. Got it to the house, busted a brake line getting it off the rollback. Surely the guy checked the starter solenoid....right? Cleaned the solenoid terminals off. Fresh battery. It fired up immediately even 2 year old gas. AC even blew cold. LH 1/4 was crunched when I got it.

Current state:

There was another '93 Bronco - it's gone.

The current 95 Bronco Eddie Bauer. ZERO Rust. Which is amazing considering it was sold new and owned at the beach and lived near the beach most of its life. I went through the entire interior, drive train and every wiring harness - because apparently twisting wires together and slapping some electrical tape on it is good with some "mechanic" (there were actual receipts for their "Work"). It's still wearing factory paint. We'll likely blow it apart for paint in the next year or two:

The only picture I have that shows the '12 F150. FX4, 5.0, got lucky a couple of years ago - found it on consignment. It had 43K original miles on it. Now has 60K. Used prices have made the price on this thing almost $5K more than we paid for it. Ridiculous

Also in the picture is my '19 GT and my FIL's '08 Silverado - it was there for me to fix a front impact sensor, reset codes and redo a really bad brake job some "mechanic" did. Not to mention the oil change - where it was 3 qts low. Oh well.....

IMG_3618.jpeg

The wife's '17 EB Prem Ragtop and the JD 750 in the background. Yes - I have a little green tractor. That's my view of my back yard. No humans within 1.5miles in that direction. Love it.

IMG_3625.jpeg

And the next project. When I got together with my wife - she had always wanted an "old truck". Actually runs and drives. Worked the hell out of it before we bought the F150. Original 305 w/ 120K. I did switch the anemic 3.08 gears over to 4.10. Only rust is over rear wheels, and one outer and one inner rocker. Another reason I need to build a third shop. This will be a frame off. Maybe LS and 4L60E depending. Likely mild lift and 35's.

Got a quote of 5k, the scions paint is immaculate, so if I actually painted it, id have to remove the Ppf etc.. nah, not worth it, I like it how it is because if it gets damaged, its my beater/reliable winter or summer car if mustang ever goes under.

I paid 20k for it OTD, and honestly, I have full aftermarket system in it, apple wireless CarPlay, leather heated seats etc, I love it. just has a noisy transmission whine/input shaft bearing noise oh well. new trans is 2k, if it ever goes boom I will just pay for a whole new case.

the engine at 175k is so super quiet, dont even feel it on. I do oil changes every 15k and I am religious about it, pretty confident it will last 400-500k it also gets 30+mpg, 35mpg @ 70

really not bad at all. insurance cost me basically nothing. I consider this an investment vehicle because its cost of ownership is basically zero

My toy doesn't get driven much, but my daily driver gets driven every day.
Current daily driver is a '16 Ram Sport 4X4, rcsb. It's a really nice truck. Basically a very well optioned Ram Sport 4X4, but in regular cab version.

I currently have a hankering for the 2022 Gensis G70 3.3t awd and Sport Package though. Wouldn't mind ordering one and trading in the truck for that. I don't really need a truck. Mostly bought it for the 4X4 option.
