Went into our local bank on Friday to inquire about financing for a 2015 GT. Had built one online and MSRP came out to 37,3xx. Bank said that wasn't a problem, could do 3.25% on a 72 month term. I had tucked away 4k as a down payment, but i was super surprised at how little putting a down payment made a difference in the monthly payments. With the 4k the payments were like 515 a month, without it only went to like 570.
Knowing that i had financing in place we headed to Luther Ford in Fargo ND. I had been there previously to talk to a salesman and i liked the guy. We had to wait about 20 minutes in the showroom because he was working with another customer. Once he was free we headed out the look at one of the cars on the lot, because it had the Recaro seats in it, and i wasn't sure if i would like them. My back isn't the best. Got to sit in them, and generally liked them.
Headed back in, and built the car that i wanted. It was very nice that they didn't push the cars that they had on the lot. My order was as follows:
Base GT
Manual
Performance Pack
Recaro seats
in White
That was all. I don't care for adaptive cruise control, and blind spot monitoring etc. I wanted the lightest GT possible. They already come with so many features standard.
Once we had the car built the financing lady came out and asked if we were interested in talking to her. Curious, we went for it. Even with taxes figured in, they knocked 3.5K off of the MSRP i was expecting to pay, and they were able to beat my banks interest rate, and came in at 2.5%. So I was pretty excited about that. Paid 34,1xx for at GT PP with recaros.
Very impressed with Luther Ford. In and out in a little under an hour, and that was with waiting 20 min to speak to who we wanted to.
Now just have to wait the 6-8 weeks for build. Argh!
