I ordered an EB from military car sales. I've been in contact with them trying to cancel my order and change to a GT. I've been provided a quote for the GT and was ready to go. Looked at COTUS, my car had just his production. Order should have been canceled Thursday or early Friday but appears it hasn't been. I'm waiting to hear more from these people but I'm afraid I'll be stuck with the EB. Once a car goes into production is there anything that can be done? I have a deposit on the car but I would think they couldn't stop me from backing out if I wanted but I'm not sure. Anyone have any thoughts on this?

If the bar JUST moved to in production today or yesterday, it hasnt been built yet. So, I'd have the inventory manager of that dealership cancel the order. If you already have a deposit on the EB, im sure they will transfer it to the GT aswell.

Your car moves into "production" 7 days prior to your actual build date. My car moved into production on 10/14 and was built 10/21 which was my build date.

It shouldent be a problem to cancel it i'd imagine, although they have already allocated the EB parts for your car, and based on the part hold posts that have came up it seems the 5.0 engines are kinda maxed out. You never know though.

Thanks for the response. I got an email from my rep today telling me my order for the GT is in and I should be receiving info in the coming days. I'm assuming this means she was able to cancel the EB order.

Came into the process never having a vehicle with more than 160hp so thought 310 on the ecoboost would be plenty and offer decent mileage. You damn enthusiasts always talking about the GTs got me switched. I know in the long run I'll really appreciate the GT. Always wanted one growing up and really didn't take that into account when I was finally able to purchase one for my own.

it is quite possible that they will NOT cancel the EB order, and place it on their lot for sale. Same thing with mine, when i upgraded to the Premium, they are not going to stop the previous car from being delivered, they will just have it on the lot to sell.

I ordered through military car sales, so it's not like a dealer submitted the order. That being said, they may still offer it to the dealer that I was going to pick it up from.
