The pony - 2015 GT convertible

The issue - the outer bar on the passenger-side tail light will stay bright (as though I was braking). It's only the outer bar. I presume some internal discreet component failure - a resistor, for example. Tail light still sequences and behaves normally otherwise.

Ford wants crazy money for replacement (like $900.) CJ Pony Parts has the 2015-2017 straight bar tail lights (Euro white Renegade) for $245. I prefer the straight bar style for my pony. I would actually still prefer red too, but I couldn't locate a seller (that seemed trustworthy) for those.

Anyone used those Renegades from CJ Pony Parts? Evaluations? Other replacement resources you recommend?

I would take a look @Diode Dynamics They have Really nice products. Not the cheapest but a great quality product from a reputable seller with EXCELLENT customer service. They have super fast shipping too

In that your profile states you are in the Suffolk area, you can try the business at 1327 Portsmouth Blvd for starters.

I have checked a couple of websites for the local yards. So far they either they don't have take-offs right now, or they have aftermarket units they're selling . I'll keep hunting, though.

The passenger tail light on my 2016 vert started acting wonky a few yrs ago. I bought one from a salvage yard for $500cdn. They had it shipped in from another province. The problem was caused by water ingress around the grommet where the wires go in to the back of the light. I don't think the grommet was seated properly from the factory.

I don't think the problem is in the lights. Look at the BCMB located in the trunk. FORSCAN may corect the issue. That would be the cheaper way to try.

IPOGT - for the win.

Midway Mustang had one as a takeoff from a wrecked 2017. Like-new condition. Arrived yesterday, and I'll install it this weekend.

Joe (Dirt Warrior) - I got lucky. Replacing the tail light unit did the trick.

FYI - I first tried unplugging/replugging the connector a couple of times, but no joy.

But you reminded me Joe - nothing about our Mustangs is necessarily simple or obvious anymore. Like I said - I got lucky. The days of reaching into the trunk, turn- and-pulling a 3057 lamp socket straight out of the tail light and installing a new in 30 seconds are long gone.
