OK To Buy Date??

Any one know of when the date is? Does that have any effect on ordered cars?My dealer told me that he would have to wait until Ford gave the go ahead to order the car. He said something about needing to order the car as "retail" instead of "stock". :shrug:

Ordering is already open for the 2016s, not sure what is up with your dealer.

There's guys on here that ordered 16s over a month ago.

I ordered mine last Wednesday. Sounds like your salesman is an idiot.

I think he is an idiot, 1st told me grabber blue was available haha, 2nd told me option 68B, premier interior was called the "Mako" interior??? He said he could order the car, but since i have a coupon, needs to wait for Ford to give the go ahead. What am I supposed to tell him? (besides telling him he's an idiot)

Tell him you are going to another dealer. If you don't mind the drive, talk to Koons in Baltimore. You will get a better deal I bet.

I spoke with Koons, they told me to talk to them next year because they cant order 2016's . This dealer is giving me a great deal for my area. All the other dealers told me it was a mistake and that they couldn't be selling a 16 for that low.

Wow Koons told you that? Amazing. Who did you speak with at Koons? I can get you in contact with the salesman I have mine ordered through. He is in the Sterling,VA location though.

But, if you are getting that great a deal (what is it by the way), then just deal with whatever stories they are telling you.

I dont want to bad mouth any sales man but he was from the baltimore dealership. His message was "The 2016 is not available until June 2016 , please check back next year , however the 2016 GT 350 most likely will be available by the end of this year or earlier 2016 ." For my area I was offered $35,775 invoice. CO, GT Premium, Premier Trim, Auto, 3.55 and spoiler delete. Plus the use of my $750 coupon which expires early sept. I saw your price, not sure how you managed that haha.

Well I did haggling and got dealerships to bid against each other. But, than salesman in Baltimore is an idiot or just trying to lie to push 2015 models out.

Give me a sec and I will post a screenshot of CONCEPS to show 2016s can indeed be ordered if you want to use it. (It was from a sales manager at a local dealership)

My dealer was able to order, he just told me the coupon wasn't able to be used at the time, so he removed the order. His screen didnt look like yours, its looked more up to date, not from 1980 haha. So he said he will order later and use the coupon. Idk why that makes sense for him, but thats his story. He also took off the adv and fuel charge so I cant complain. Ah okay, I misunderstood. Yeah doesn't make sense to me. He was probably using the newer order software, forgot the name.

I believe the coupon will be expired before you get your car so they might not take it anyways. Unless they can get Ford to lock in the incentive. (I am still waiting for brochures as well for the $750 lol)

I ordered my 16 last week. The sales reps may not know that ordering is open and they may not have access to 16 ordering. When i asked my sale rep he wasn't sure and didn't think he could. Showed him the thread on this site that people are listing their 16 orders. I got the OK lets go talk to the GM and the GM was able to order a 16. Gave a WAG delivery sometime in October.

Yeah, he showed me some order screen on his mac but it wasn't conceps. He told me he will order it sometime and it will be delivered end of september/early october

2016 Mustangs are being scheduled, serialized, etc. for stock units. Ford doesn't start scheduling or serializing customer orders (retail orders) until the "okay to buy" by Ford. However, 2016 retail orders can still be submitted; they'll just sit in the queue for awhile.
