For my EB, I use Rotella T6 full synthetic; just use what the manual says if you're stuck on choosing.

RoyalGuard: What viscosity oil does your owner's manual spec? Here in the States, it's 5w20 that meets Ford's specification of WSS-M2C-945-A. Is that the same as your owner's manual? Just curious.

To answer your question: I personally always stick with the oem's recommendations. So, I just use Ford's Motorcraft full synthetic 5w20.

If that's not available in the UK, then I wold suggest using whatever syn that's made by either Castrol, Mobil, or Shell (Shell Helix Ultra?) that meets the viscosity and spec prescribed by Ford U.K.

From what I've seen on the Mustang forums here, in terms of used oil analyses, the naturally aspirated port injected V8 Coyote is spectacularly easy on its engine oil. Don't have to obsess too much on oil - not like a gasoline direct injected turbo.

I use Penz Plat 5W-20 but may consider switching to AMSOIL.

I plan to use Quaker State Full Synthetic. I beat on my 5.0 in my F150 using that oil and it was good for me. I will again do a oil analysis to ensure that though on the Mustang

Fords motorcraft full synthetic is what I've always used. Never had a motor related issue yet after two 5.0s since 2010.
