Hi,
Just a quick note - i checked my oil level on the Mach1 after 2days of ownership...surprised(?) to find it was low, towards the lower mark on the dipstick. It seems the Ford dipsticks didn't check the dipstick as part of PDI:headbang: . One to check on your own new vehicles if not already done so!

Hello; I have seen reports that the car companies may only fill to the low oil mark to save that extra quart. May seem cheap but that is how the bean counters work. Over hundreds of thousands of cars they save. So yeah you may take delivery of a brand new car not quite full of oil. Add some to get it to the full mark.
Also check the oil pretty often for a while. Some have reported excessive oil use. May take a while to seat in the rings. Ask me how I know.

Sorry to ask an obvious question, but did you check it when the engine was up to operating temp and switched off for 10 mins. Might make a difference to the reading. Just a thought…
