Oil Seperators / Catch Cans

Is there any sense to catch 2 table spoons over 2000-3000mls? I was writing before in other tread, that some Audi engines (e.g. modern 2.0T) looses around 1qt for 1000mls (not 10k or 100k, but 1k!) and nobody even think to catch this amount of oil.

Could be losing oil through other means, such as, piston rings, bad turbo seals, etc. Most likely the case losing that much oil that fast.

To add, yes catching the oil will prolong the life of the engine as the oil can decrease the octane and clog/gunk up the engine.

Have any of you guys fitted an Oil Seperator / Catch Can, to your 5.0 GT's?

If you have, what brand did you fit?

From my research, it appears manufactures only produce an Oil Seperator for the Passengers Side, and not for both sides.

UPR makes an amazing catch can.

Lol typical VW...people did catch cans on Honda's too because they lost a half a quart in 5k miles. I can't believe none of those Audi guys question that. That's a border-line 2 stroke consuming that much oil LMAO.
